Come and celebrate the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ publication co-edited by Dr Gareth Evans-Jones (Philosophy, Ethics and Religion) and Dr Elis Dafydd (Welsh). The editors will chat to several of the contributors, with an opportunity to buy a copy of the book! Including the boredom of translation jobs in county councils, the translation of Saunders Lewis into Polish, the philosophy of language and theology of Morgan Llwyd today and sci-fi in Welsh, this will be a session full of discussion and thought!

Marvel movies are extremely popular and can be considered as moral tales of the modern world, due to the conflict between good and evil in the films. In this conversation, Dr Gareth Evans-Jones (Philosophy, Ethics and Religion and co-director of the National Centre for Religious Education in Wales) will examine the films as moral tales considering moral principles through characters such as Deadpool and their relevance to cultural and philosophical discussions in our world today.
Chaired by Marian Wyn Jones, Chair of the University Council. Join us for a lively discussion about how to create doctors from Wales, for Wales with Dyfed Edwards, Chair of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, on behalf of North Wales Medical School - Dr Nia Jones, Professor Angharad Davies, current students and a local GP.
